Tax Preparation

1/23/17

Okay, so the online scheduler had some issues. It can now be found at the following link: Online Tax Scheduler.  I apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

The online scheduler is open for tax season. It will remain open until April 18, 2017. Click the button below to schedule.

Please note: I have blocked out Mondays, due to a class I am teaching this semester. If you require a Monday appointment, please call me and I will find a Monday time to accommodate you.

New online scheduler is up and running! It will remain open until April 16, 2016.

The new year is here!  The IRS will begin to accept tax returns on January 19, 2016.  My software vendor predicts releasing software sometime on January 4th.  Barring any software glitches, I should be ready to begin preparing returns by January 6th, so that they will be ready to be filed on January 19th.  I will have a new appointment scheduling link set up in the next few days.  I was not happy with the online scheduling program I used last year.

For clients who prefer to pay for their tax prep fees by credit or debit card, I am now set up to accept Visa and Mastercard for tax prep services.

It is Halloween and I have eaten enough candy to last me until next Halloween. For most of my clients, taxes are the last thing on their mind this time of year. However, I am gearing up for what could be a challenging tax season. The Affordable Care Act promises to bring increased complication to tax return preparation. I am also waiting to see what year-end tax surprises Congress will bring us. I will update this site as changes unfold, so check back!

Even if you have been a client for years, it is important for us to sit down and thoroughly review your situation. This year I will institute an online appointment booking program to make it easier to schedule a tax appointment. That should be up and running by mid-December. I will also have a secure online portal for you to upload your documents to, in the event you prefer to meet over Skype instead of in person.

I understand in this world of technology some people prefer to prepare their own tax returns, despite the tax changes. I offer a solution for that too. I have partnered with 1040.com to provide clients with an online solution to preparing their own taxes. If you’re feeling brave and want to try it on your own, click on the button below:
